Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia - The notion that some schizophrenics do recover, and can live out their lives without medication, is increasingly accepted. That inspiring story drew millions of Americans to the recent film ''A Beautiful Mind,'' in which the mathematician John Nash emerges slowly from a fog of delusion. http://www.human-nature.com/nibbs/issue49.html (But actually, he is not completely cured, but he can control his own sickness.)

The chaotic characteristics of brain waves may be the causes of shizophrenia. You may find more links by Google using this "chaotic brain waves and schizophrenia" I have just seen Dr. John Nash's experience of Schizophrenia in a documentary movie.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/nash/peopleevents/p_jnash.html

But he became normal gradually by rejecting his own delusion (but after 30 years.) and become normal without the help of medicine. I remember some researches have suggested Chaotic influence. I guess that he had changed his own circuity by re-establishing his own internal connection.

The article on this: Normal operation of the heart and brain seem to depend on seemingly abnormal rhythms. Cardiac arrest and seizures can be detected when the rhythm of the heart and brain waves begin to line up in clock-like synchronization. It appears that these things need occasional irregularities in their rhythm to keep themselves in cadence. Seizures can sometimes be triggered by flashing or flickering lights, or even geometric shapes or patterns. This fairly rare condition is known as photosensitive epilepsy. (NSE) I would conjecture that the regularity of strobe lights and beats in music can cause the brain activity in photosensitive people to line up because their brain can't override the incoming signals, which triggers a seizure in them. The non-linearity of the beats can be explained with help from chaos theory, which deals with non-linearity. The most orderly synchronous activity can be represented by strictly periodic signals of low complexity. Less synchronous activity, reflecting a less orderly state, can be represented by signals of increased complexity with multiple frequencies, quasiperiodic signals, and increasing chaotic behavior of the signal. (EC, 3) It appears that seizures take place when chaos in the brain breaks down to linearity. Chaos theory can also help to explain the causes of schizophrenia, by examining the mechanics of a schizophrenic's eye movement as he watches a slowly swinging pendulum. Following a slowly swinging pendulum with one's eyes is an ostensibly simple task which most people have no trouble with it, but a person with schizophrenia cannot do it, their eyes jump about in disruptively small increments, over shooting or undershooting the target and creating a constant haze of extraneous movements. Whereas the tradition analysis has been from a physiological point of view, chaos theory introduces the idea of small errors begetting large errors (disruptive eye movements). It also introduces the possibility that there are universal elements of motion (Chaos, 276) rather than just a boatload of body parts working together to produce a result.(Chaos, 276)

Please note that Schizophrenia may be caused by lots of reasons: the following approach is only fit for one reason: "food poisoning".

One e-mail sent to me suggesting a very new approach:

(The following e-mails are posted with the permission of the original writer.)

I have added links to the following e-mails for your reference.

Philip,

In the book, "Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine", by Michael Murray, N.D. and Joseph Pizzorno, N.D., they say this about schizophrenia, "Wheat gluten components have demonstrated opioid (opium-like) activity. This activity is believed to be the factor responsible for the association between wheat consumption and schizophrenia. The hypothesis that gluten is a causative factor in the development of schizophrenia is substantiated by epidemiological, clinical and experimental studies."

I also had a disease that was very specifically related to the ingestion of wheat products - trigeminal neuralgia (三叉神經 神經痛), very closely related to multiple sclerosis (多發性硬化症). Gluten in wheat products, and casein in dairy products, are the 2 most mucus-forming substances that we can put into our bodies. Gluten is from the Greek word meaning "glue", and this is what it does to the small intestine where 80% of our food is digested. The trillions of living cells of the body literally starve, and we end up with all sorts of different diseases, schizophrenia being one of them. Upon becoming a raw-foodist, (as our living cells need living food, raw), and eliminating all wheat products and all dairy products, I was able to cure my so-called "incurable" disease.

[Explanation: Trigeminal neuralgia is a disorder of the fifth cranial nerve. While it is sometimes associated with multiple sclerosis, the underlying cause is often unknown. Certain triggers, such as eating, talking, or a simple touch, send shooting, lightning-like pain down one side of the face. In this case, the pain was truly lightning-like, with "genuine electrical currents" coming from the patient's teeth, according to Cheshire. The mini-conductor was laid to rest when the mercury filling was replaced with porcelain. Taken from http://www.trustmed.com.tw/news/2000/07/10/20000630034e.html]

[Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms may be mild such as numbness in the limbs or severe -- paralysis or loss of vision.

Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40 but the unpredictable physical and emotional effects can be lifelong. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are giving hope to those affected by the disease. Taken from http://www.nationalmssociety.org/What%20is%20MS.asp]

My grandparents were dairy farmers, and my grandmother baked bread on an almost daily basis. My grandmother spent the last 14 years of her life bed-ridden with rheumatoid arthritis (another disease affected by gluten and casein), and my grandfather had schizophrenia. Celiac disease is another disease that is caused by gluten.

As to the seizures you so eloquently wrote about, specifically epilepsy, here is what Dr. Norman W. Walker, D.Sci., Ph.D., says about Epilepsy in his book, "Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices": "Nervous spasms sometimes resulting from excessive toxemia and starvation of the nervous system. It is sometimes caused by the presence of worms in the colon. One such instance was that of a young woman about 26 years of age. After the 28th consecutive daily colonic irrigation, a mass of worms as large as a man's fist passed. A few more colonics made a clean sweep of them, and her epileptic seizures never recurred. This may have been a coincidence, but many more such cases were definitely educational."

It's interesting, a lot of years ago, I had acupuncture(針灸)for an arthritic wrist, from a Chinese acupuncturist (the best in the world!), and he shared with me that in Chinese medicine the body and the mind are never separated. I have learned even more about that statement from researching the physiology of the body. When our minds are not well, it is an indication that we are also sick in our bodies, and vice versa. They always work in harmony. 〔Wheat, Gluten and Rheumatoid Arthritis

The colon has points that correspond with every single organ and gland of the body, sort of like reflexology (香港稱為:腳底按摩) . When any point(s) become impacted, the corresponding organ(s) of the body will be affected. When I had TN, which was located in my lower left jaw, I was shocked that it all began in my small intestine! This was exactly what I needed to know! I had been helping others on the Internet with TN, and I began to notice how many of us had some sort of digestive disorder. Now, I knew there was a correlation! I then found freedomyou.com, and it explained that those who have MS, schizophrenia, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, etc. can be helped through the elimination of gluten in wheat products. I threw all of those things out of my house, and within 3 months time got completely well! Praise God!! (I had already changed other things in my lifestyle.)

Please do let me hear from you. I am very interested in what you think of this information.

Best Wishes,
Kathie

1) Do you suggesting that Schizophrenia is related to gluten? I don't know yet. No medical I read has this indication; so I am not sure.

2) I know the reflexology only a little and not sure whether it is solely based on the Chinese medicine theory or with some additional elements; but from the surface I think they are based on the "internal pulse system" of Chinese medicine. I know there are some relationship; but how these relationship are reflected are not certain. (I have learnt Chinese medicine too and I can read Chinese.)

3) Since Dr. Nash can cure his own schizophrenia by rejecting the false thinking inside him. The problem may not related to food allergy and poisoning. Besides, the schizophrenia is believed to have heredity; so it may or may not be related to food. But since lots of people has eaten the food contained gluten; but only a few has got schizophrenia; so it may not be the sole reason.

FREEDOMYOU Fasting, Juicing, Water Fasting
Do you follow their suggestions for fasting?
Have you checked your situaiton with a doctor?
Sometimes scientifice discovery is before a good theory or experiment can be done.
But sometimes it is not sure what causes it.
I am glad that you are cured; but to what extent is the key.
Sometimes, it may be related to other factors.
It would be better to search for multi-reasons for schizophrenia than to assume a simple solution.
But we can try your suggestion.

second e-mail

Dear Philip,

I am so happy to hear from you! I would like to respond to each of the
points that you had numbered in your e-mail.

1. Yes, as I shared with you in my first e-mail, gluten in wheat products is
a causitive factor in schizophrenia. It shows opium-like activity in those
who are afflicted. This activity is why voices are heard.

2. When I spoke of the points in the colon that correspond to every gland
and organ of the body, I wrote of it being like reflexology in that the
points on the soles of the feet correspond with the organs and glands of the
body, also.

3. Dr. John Nash has not "cured" his schizophrenia. What he has done is
told himself that he will not answer the voices that speak to him in his
head. He still suffers, but has learned to control himself. I would love to
contact him with the information that he, too, can get well. By the way,
schizophrenia is not inherited. What is inherited is lifestyle. We learn
our lifestyle from our parents, who learned theirs from their parents, and so
on. I ate the same things that my parents and brothers and sister ate, and
when I got married, I cooked the same way for my husband and daughter. I
have learned that what I was doing was not a good lifestyle, so I changed,
and am now completely well. I have passed along my new lifestyle to my
daughter, and, hopefully, she will pass her good lifestyle on to her family
some day. We can break a circle that has been passed down from one
generation to the next.

4. Yes, my husband and I do fast, but the way we fast is to eat
mucus-reducing foods for about 3 days. We use oranges, papayas and Black
Mission figs blended together in a blender. (If you would like the formula
for this blend of fruit, I will share it with you.) On those days that we
are fasting, we also do colonic irrigations to rid the body of any mucus that
may have accumulated.
Yes, I did go to a neurologist when I was ill. After diagnosing me, he told
me that if the pain got really bad that I should go to the emergency room and
ask for a Tegretol drip. I had just sat in his examining room, waiting for
him to come in, and I had read a chart on the wall about Tegretol. Amongst
the side effects listed, was "liver damaging"! I could not picture myself
maybe having a liver transplant someday because I had damaged my own taking a
drug! I knew that I would not take this drug! I also knew that I had to get
to the root cause of my disease. To make a long story short, I found the
root cause, and it was gluten in wheat products, and casein in dairy
products. When I changed my lifestyle I was able to get completely well!
Praise God!!

Philip, yes, I am cured, and it is a total cure. The way I know this is that
I do not have any of the symptoms that I used to have. My symptoms were
extreme pain in the lower left jaw, up the side of my head and to the back of
my head. The pain would go into remission, and then when it came back, the
pain would be even worse than previously, as more myelin coating on the
sheath of the nerves had been destroyed. I also had a loss of memory,
observation and concentration. I had a very shaky hand, and had a hard time
writing. I also had a loss of balance that made it difficult for me to walk.
All of those symptoms are gone now that I am well!

I am so pleased that you asked about your friend who has a deep depression.
She can get well by changing her lifestyle, too. This lifestyle change will
work for virtually every disease. When God designed us, He gave us the food
that would sustain us, but we have gotten away from the fresh raw fruit,
vegetables, nuts and seeds that God gave us, and have, instead, taken to
eating a lot of cooked and processed food that does nothing to keep the cells
nourished. You see, our trillions of cells are living cells, with atoms,
molecules and enzymes. They need "living" food, raw, and not "dead" food,
cooked. Our cells do not recognize cooked and processed food - cooked and
processed food has no enzymes, the life force of the cells. Cooked and
processed food all goes to waste. Your friend needs lots of good nutrition
to get her well from depression.

Philip, if you would like more information on how to change your lifestyle, I
can help you, but I do want to know that you are interested. There is
absolutely no cost to changing your lifestyle except for the food that you
buy, but you have to buy food anyway.

Dr. Norman W. Walker, D.Sci., Ph.D., said in his book, "Fresh Vegetable and
Fruit Juices
": "Our Creator developed the human body with an inherent
colossal amount of tolerance. When we eat aniything that is "not good" for
us or that is incompatible with our nutritional requirements and balance, we
suffer. We are warned and punished by pain or by cramps, leading eventually
to disease and perhaps to any one or more of the infinite number of ailments
which afflict humanity." He went on to say that it might not happen for
days, months or years, but it will happen eventually. God wants us to be
well, and that is why He has given us all the good things that will keep us
well, or get us well. We have to do our part by taking in only those good
things that He gave us. The benefits of doing so are innumerable!

I look forward to hearing from you again!

Blessings to you,
Kathie
